This week has been another busy, packed week with lots of learning going on!
In English, we are in our 'innovate' stage and there have been some brilliant ideas in the classroom. On Monday, we did a shared write and based out story in Australia - with a kangaroo! We then took these ideas and applied them to our independent writing. Lastly, today, we have been using expanded noun phrases to describe the character and setting.
In Maths we have started to link fractions to decimals and assessing what we have learnt and what we need to work on more. Next week we officially start our decimals topic and I am very excited!
In Topic we have been learning about adaptation and how humans have adapted over millions of years. We have also thought about our changing planet and what humans might look like if global warming carries on, a scary thought! Next week we are learning more about global warming and what we can do to help our planet.
World Book Day was a huge success and thank you all for your amazing effort. It was a shame I was at a course and couldn't join in but I've heard amazing things from Mr Tague, Mrs Broad and Mrs Ward. Well done, Merlins!
