Hello and welcome back after, I hope, a restful and exciting half term.
This week was our final week on WW1 and we have done some fantastic work. In English, the Merlins created persuasive posters to get either men signing up to be soldiers or for women to help the war effort, we loved learning why they were called Canary Girls! We then designed and wrote some postcards that were from a special point in history, the Christmas Truce of 1914.
In Maths we have learnt about length and perimeter, we have looked at km to m conversions and how to calculate the perimeter of a shape. We looked at rectilinear shapes, if you are unsure - ask your child as they should be experts!
We've done lots of fantastic art work and I hope most of you got to see it at the Showcase this afternoon. It has been a really enjoyable two weeks but it'll be nice to get back into some routine!
The new Homework Menus were handed out today, but in all the chaos they might have bee forgotten. If you want a headstart and haven't got it then you can download from the website.
