This week in Maths we have been reading and drawing pictograms and bar charts. The children are getting really good at understanding the different interval scales and answering questions about the data.
In English we have been writing reports about different types of dragons and inventing our own. The children had some very imaginative ideas! After the holiday we will be looking at poetry.
In our topic work, we found out about some crazy inventions like those made by Wallace and Gromit. We had a lovely time designing and drawing our own inventions to do everyday jobs.
This week we added 4 Harlequin Rasboras to our fish tank. They have settled in well and the tank looks fantastic.
We hope you have had time to start thinking about the 500 word story competition. The holiday would be a great time for children to spend a little time coming up with their own imaginative story. We have given the children a week off learning spellings over the holiday.
We wish you all a peaceful holiday and will see you back on Monday 25th February.
