WE RESPECT, WE TAKE PRIDE, WE SUCCEED

15.3.19

This week in Maths we have been converting between measures of length and beginning to add them. This can be quite a tricky skill to master so any additional work on this at home would be really helpful for your child. The children have now all had the opportunity to use Maths Shed and they love it. To get access, log on to Spelling Shed as normal and follow the links on the page. We hope you enjoy using this new package of support.

In English this week, we have written our alliteration poem and had a go at performing some poems. We are now moving on to Myths and Legends. A big thank you to those of you who supported your children to write a 500 word story. We can see the children put a lot of effort into these and it was really lovely to read stories where imagination has no limits. We are making the stories into a book so that the children can see each other’s work.

We are very proud of the progress our children are making in swimming lessons and we want to make best use of the time we have for our lessons. Can we therefore ask that children with long hair have it tied up, preferably platted and/ or put into a bun, so that we can reduce the time spent putting hats on.

Finally just a quick heads up. Soon we will be learning about the Ancient Greeks and we plan to have a Greek dress up day. We thought you may want some notice to think about a simple costume, a large white tee-shirt can be a great starting point.
