This week in English, we have written our own adventure stories using all of the skills we have learned in the last few weeks. The children came up with some fantastic ideas. It is so good to look back to the beginning of the year and see the progress made in writing.
In maths this week we have been calculating durations of events and their start and finish times. Time can be a really tricky concept for some children to grasp so any additional support you can offer at home is a real bonus for your children. Next week we will start work on shape.
We had a wonderful time this week watching all of our talented children taking part in “Repton’s Got Talent”. This is such a huge step for some children, not only learning their act, but having the courage to perform in front of the whole school. I’m sure you have had that feeling, even as an adult, when you have to give a speech or presentation of some sort. We were so proud of all of the children who took part right from the initial class stages right through to the final.
