In English this week we have been writing our own stories with imaginary settings. The children have come up with some really imaginative ideas and stared to use the skills they have been taught such as adding speech and starting sentences in different ways.
In Maths we have been using 3 and 4 times tables to answer questions including problems. Explaining answers and solving problems are an important part of our maths lessons and demonstrate deeper understanding of concepts. Next Thursday we have our Maths curriculum meeting where we will be able to tell you about the way we teach maths at Repton. It would be lovely to see you there.
As we are nearing the end of our topic, could we remind you that projects need to be brought into school on Monday 17th December. Please do not send them in before this as we do not have enough classroom space to store them all safely without risking damage. On Thursday 20th December, we will hold our ‘Jobs Fair’ where we will display some of the work children have done at home and school.
