WE RESPECT, WE TAKE PRIDE, WE SUCCEED

5.4.19

This week in English we have written our own Greek Myth story using all of the skills we have been covering in the last few weeks. As part of our Greek day on Friday, we enjoyed reading the stories to each other and acting them out.

In maths this week we have been learning about fractions. We have learned about what each part of the fraction means and learned the terms numerator and denominator. We have also been finding out how the whole can be made up of a number of fractions e.g. 1/8 plus 3/8 plus 4/8 makes one whole. Next week we will be learning about 1/10ths and relating this to decimals as well as solving problems with fractions and decimals.

We had a lovely time on Friday and everyone looked splendid in their Greek costumes! As well as the stories, we also learned about other aspects of Greek life including the foods that were eaten.

Finally, please remember to send in projects on Monday ready for our showcase of work for friends and family on Tuesday at 3pm.
