This week we have continued to learn about poems and the features used within them such as alliteration and personification. We have also been learning how to change past tense into the present perfect tense. We will use these skills to write our own poems next week.
In maths we have been converting between m, cm, and mm. Our trial of Times Tables Rock Stars has now ended and we have chosen to sign up to Maths Shed instead as it covers all areas of arithmetic. Children can use their Spelling Shed Logins to access this.
We added three Honey Gourami to our fish tank this week. We are nearly at the end of the project with just one more type of fish to add next week. The children have loved watching the aquarium develop over the last two months and we will be keeping it and adding to it as capacity allows.
The children had a lovely time on World Book day and the costumes were fantastic! Just a reminder that the 500 word story writing competition ends on Friday night. Please send in any stories your children have written as we want to make a class book of all of their imaginative work.
