This week the Robins have enjoyed learning through the story of The Three Little Pigs.
We have investigated the different materials that the little pigs used to build their house and tested them for strength. We have made clay bricks and will use these in our construction and small world play. We have written about a part of the story and some children are really beginning to develop independence with their writing which is fantastic! We have also learned about 3D shape this week and talked about the properties and names. The children have enjoyed building with shapes and especially making the 3 pigs’ houses.
In forest schools we used some natural materials like sticks, leaves and even found some bricks - to build homes with our partners. Pictures are in the forest school sessions section of this class page.
If anyone one has any issues with accessing their tapestry account, please do come into school on Mrs Tarrant’s day and we will have a look.
