Half way through our first half term at Repton and we are flying! I have been so impressed this week with the Merlins. They have worked hard, shared brilliant ideas and really got involved with everything we've done.
In Maths we are 3 weeks in to our 4 week unit of Number and Place Value and we've done some tricky work this week - mostly involving number lines. I think we will all be glad to have a break! They've done some brilliant rounding to the nearest 10 today and I am so proud of them for showing that Growth Mindset we have spoken a lot about.
In English, the Merlins have now finished their unit on Historical Narratives and have written up their 'Hot Writes' - these will be displayed on our writing wall and they are looking lovely!
In Topic we've learnt about how the Stone Age would have been and how the humans would have lived. We were pretty grossed out that they would have used poo to keep their houses together! We also looked at ice and how the ice age started and why it ended. Finally, we did some cave paintings in art and will display these in our class room.
A big congratulations to Noah on being Star of the Week and to Connie and Lottie for getting leaves for their fantastic behaviour.
I hope everyone has a good weekend!
