Here we are again! Another week completed and the Merlins have done so well to understand some pretty tricky objectives.
In Maths we have just finished our unit on Number and Place Value and will start Addition and Subtraction on Monday. They have done some absolutely amazing work on rounding, counting on, partitioning, Roman numerals and lots lots more! We did a final assessment to see what they have learnt and they have all done amazingly well - fantastic work, Merlins!
In English, the Merlins have started their new unit all about instructions. We have been reading a very funny book about how to wash a woolly mammoth and today we had a go at innovating the existing book with our own ideas. They created some symbol maps to explain the sequence of events and on Monday we will be writing them!
In Topic we learnt about a place called Bhimbetka which is in India and there are caves very similar to the ones we saw at Creswell Crags. We loved comparing the two environments and looked at how humans originated from the continent of Africa.
Then, to finish off the week we designed some Christmas cards which will be made into a design and should be coming to you soon!
Finally, a big congratulations to Ava who is our Star of the Week and to Izzy and Jack for getting leaves on the tree for their impeccable behaviour.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend and enjoy some time to relax!
