WE RESPECT, WE TAKE PRIDE, WE SUCCEED

Week 5

Where is the time going?!

This week we have learned all about spiders!  The children have enjoyed making them, weaving webs, learning why they don't stick to their webs by carrying out a sticky web experiment, hearing the story of The Very Busy Spider and making their own story maps to tell the story.

We have practised our subtraction skills in maths by writing a sum and then recording it pictorally too by crossing out the number of circles to find the answer.

We loved making a giant spider web in Forest Schools and going on a minibeast hunt in the sunshine - see more in the Forest School section.

Our caterpillars all hatched into butterflies and we set them free in the Forest Area - it was amazing! We waved them goodbye as they flew away. heart

We hope to see you all at the Summer Fayre on Saturday (today as I write this - in the rain!!).  Let's hope it holds off as it promises to be a great day.
