Only 2 weeks until half term, I don't know about the Merlins but that to me that has snuck right up!
This week in English the Merlins have been continuing their work about instructions and learning about loads of different techniques to make them sound interesting, exciting and how they can guide the reader. Today we had a go at giving each other instructions on how to get around the school and we understood how important it is to be detailed and precise.
In Maths we have just started Addition and Subtraction and have been doing some really tricky work using the column method for addition. They have really impressed me and next week we are focusing on subtraction.
In other areas of the curriculum we have learnt about what they would have eaten in the Stone Age, been learning our song for the Harvest on Monday and were very excited when PCSO Harriet came and visited. We even got to sit in the car and hear the siren!
If you would like to walk with us to the church on Monday then please just stay when you drop the children off and we are due to leave at around 9:15. We appreciate any help you can offer!
