This week we have learned all about the Police. We had a visit from PC Dunn, our PCSO, this week. She showed us her police car and we each had a go sitting in it and hearing the siren! Everyone has learned a lot of facts about the police and have written an information page to show what they know. We have made a giant police officer, by drawing around 'PC Katie' and drawing a uniform on her with handcuffs, radio, helmet, boots, etc. The children worked together to colour her in and label the uniform.
In maths this week we have assessed the children on their number recognition to 20 and ordering numbers to 20. We have also practised saying one more and one less than a number to 20.
We have all enjoyed making box models of police cars to go with our fire engines from last week. They look fantastic. We have also used our knowledge about the police to paint a picture of a police officer!
Next week we shall be enjoying lots of Easter activities that will take us into the holidays!! A reminder that we will have an Easter Bonnet Parade on Thursday 11th April, so if your child would like to made a bonnet at home and bring into school on the day we'd love to see them in our parade. There will be prizes for the winning bonnets.
Many thanks for your attendance at parents' evenings this week. It was lovely to see you all.
See you on Monday
