This week in maths we have begun our work on addition and subtraction. We have reviewed our facts for ten and have developed some 'aid memoirs' to help us remember the addition facts to 20.
In literacy, we have completed our writing instructions with an innovate project making 'jam sushi'! On Thursday, the children invented their own sandwiches and wrote an instructional piece on them.
Our topic work has continued with drawing and labeling trees and plants and using the technical language associated with each. We worked on drawing and annotating pictures using good labels. Our science work about plants continues and, unfortunately, some of them are suffering. We will check our hypotheses next week to see how accurate we were.
We're gearing up for harvest, so we have been sambaing around learning the words to our song.
Well done Otters on a week of good hard work and behaviour!
