This week has been a very busy week for the Otters.
In maths, we have been reading clocks to the hour, half, quarter and in five minute intervals. We have made good progress. We have also completed an arithmetic practice SATs paper. This is in addition to the other papers in arithmetic and reasoning we completed last week. The children have had excellent attempts at all of the questions, and have surprised themselves by how much the can do! Well done, children!
In literacy, we have begun work on writing non-chronological reports. We will continue with this work next week and complete another practice SATs paper. The children will be old hands at this work when it comes to the 'real thing'. We have spelling words this week which they can practise on 'Spelling Shed'. We need to get back on the leader board.
In topic, we have begun studying microscopic sea creatures, and next week we will look at creatures we can see and who are most like us- whales. Sharks and other fish will follow. After half term, we will be shooting for the stars.
Well done, Otters on a very productive week!
