Well, we are over half way into Year 5 and it has flown by!
It's been a strange week with INSET, strike action and World Book Day but we've still managed to fit a lot in!
In English we have had 3 lessons dedicated to our class book: The Explorer. We have turned the events of the children missing into a newspaper report and created a double page plan and a double page report filled with information we have retrieved and inferred from the book.
In Maths we have continued with decimals and we have looked at thousandths as fractions and today we compared decimal numbers. This unit will continue for a couple more weeks where we will eventually get into percentages!
We have completed a PSHE lesson all about team work, an RE lesson about Mosques with Mrs Ward and painted some fantastic book character potatoes with Mrs Riley.
Back to a more normal next week I hope - and our last full week before Whitemoor Lakes!
