WE RESPECT, WE TAKE PRIDE, WE SUCCEED

08.10.21

Well, we have had another very busy week in Eagles.  It has involved bar models, captions, reported and direct speech and a brilliant E-Safety game.

English this week has involved focusing on the different features of a Newspaper Article, they have thought about creating captions, planning and understanding in more detail reported and direct speech and making sure we have as much research as possible.

In Maths, the children have been focusing on understanding in more detail the inverse operations and problems involving using these inverse operations.  We have used bar models to help us with this as well as column addition and subtraction.

Topic this week has focused on how children would have lived during WW2, in particular - evacuation. We have imagined life as an evacuee and watched lots of interesting interviews with real-life evacuees. Then today we have designed a poster in the style of the propaganda posters at the time to persuade mums to evacuate their children.

We have carried on focusing on developing our Netball skills and we are now starting to see some super Netball players who are really working on their tactics and skills.  Well done everyone.

Thank you for all of your cardboard donations, we are very excited about our WWII day next week.  We are also working behind the scenes to plan our school trip which will hopefully be in December.  We will get this information out to you as soon as we have everything confirmed.

Thank you

Stay Safe
