Our first full week back and it's flown by, well - I think so, I'm not sure the children agree.
The Eagles have coped really well getting back into routine! In English we are focussing on our book for the half term, 'Window' and writing from the point of view of Sam. The interesting part of the book is that there are no words, just pictures, so we have had to be detectives to work out Sam's life as we follow him growing up and looking out of the window at the everchanging landscape.
In Maths we have started our unit on Number and Place Value and we have been so impressed with what they have remembered so far! We have done lots of work at representing, reading and writing numbers up to 10 million and today we have compared these.
We have started looking at the history of Repton to help us with our own 'Window' artwork next week so if you have any local knowledge please let us know! We have also ennjoyed Science today where we are looking at evolution and inheritance - I'm sure you might get some interesting questions this week!
Have a lovely weekend,
Miss Jordan, Mrs Eaton and Mrs Abell
