In English this week, we have worked in pairs, groups and as a whole class to write a new version of a story from another culture. Next week the children will be researching Malawi and writing a story about a child living there.
In maths, we have been working on column addition and subtraction using regrouping and exchanging. We will be coming to the end of this work next week and will then start work on multiplication and division. With this in mind, please help your child to learn their times tables. TTRS can be lots of fun and can help our class reach the school leader board.
On Monday, it is the beginning of Anti- bullying week, and children are encouraged to wear odd socks to show we are all different.
On Wednesday, we are going swimming to Repton pool. Please complete the permission form if you have not already done so. If anyone is able to walk down with us, please let us know as this would be appreciated.
On Friday it is Children in Need day. Children are asked to bring in a plastic bottle top to show they have donated via Parent Pay. Details of the rest of the day should have been sent to you already.
