WE RESPECT, WE TAKE PRIDE, WE SUCCEED

12.3.21

Firstly, we would like to thank you all for your fantastic support over the last few months. Your kind messages have really kept us going. It has been a real challenge for everyone in lots of different ways and we couldn’t have done it with without working together.

It has been fantastic to have everyone back in school this week and we are all getting back into the swing of more normal classroom life.

This week we have been finishing work on perimeter and revising some of the maths covered over lockdown. We will shortly be moving on to work on fractions.

In English next week, we will be focussing on letter writing. Can you please ensure your child knows their address to help them?

Just a few reminders-

  • PE is still on Monday afternoons and children need to come in kit suitable to keep them warm if they are outside.
  • We still have to have windows open so please make sure children wear several layers to keep them warm.
  • As we are trying to cut down on handling books, we aim to change reading books on a Monday and Thursday as needed. We are so proud of some children who read every day and who continued to read every day during lockdown. Reading and discussing books is so important to all English work and helps your child make good progress.
  • Please remember we are still focussing on times tables and children should know all 2,3,4,5,8 and 10 times tables up to 12 times, with instant recall by the end of the year.
  • Next week is Red Nose Day and we will be doing activities in class including designing noses and watching a funny film. We have asked for a £1 donation which needs to sent via Parent Pay. https://app.parentpay.com/ParentPayShop/Foc/Default.aspx?shopid=2110

This is a dedicated donation page set up in connection with the official Red Nose Day website. You do not need to send cash into school.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend
