WE RESPECT, WE TAKE PRIDE, WE SUCCEED

13.11.20

We have had a lovely week with lots of great learning and fun!

In maths, we have completed our unit on addition and subtraction and we move on to multiplication and division next week. It is now so important that children feel confident with times tables and related division to enable them to complete more complex tasks as we move through the unit. Thank you to those who work on these at home each week, it makes such a big difference for your children.

In English, we are completing our dream story and we have learned about using fronted adverbials, adjectives and similes to engage the reader.

In our topic work, we have started to learn about parts of plants and how plants grow. This relates to our continuing work on the rainforest and where zoo animals can come from. We have also been drawing insects in detail and the work the children produced today was stunning! Lots of budding artists amongst us! Next week we hope to get out in the forest school area one afternoon to see what insects we can find. We will keep an eye on the weather and let you know as children may need to bring wellies.

It was lovely to see all of the children dressed up today. They had lots of fun and enjoyed putting all of the coins on Pudsey in the hall. Thank you all for your kind donations They will make such a big difference to some children’s lives.
