WE RESPECT, WE TAKE PRIDE, WE SUCCEED

13.12.19

Here we are, one week away until Christmas!

We are feeling very Christmassy here in the Squirrels and have had lots of fun seeing what Eric (our naughty elf) has been getting up to and writing our hot writes - lots of which involved a Christmas mystery!

In Maths we have been learning about multiplication in much more detail - investigating factors, multiplying three factors and learning how to multiply 2 digits by 1 digit - the year 4s have even moved on to multiply 3 digits by 1 digit!

In Topic we have learned about Iron Age clothes and homes and completed our own research. We've also been practising our song, ‘Away in a Manger’, for the carols at the church on Monday. If you are able to help with walking to Church, it would be much appreciated.

We had a great time watching the Robins nativity on Monday afternoon.

Today was our Christmas jumper and Christmas dinner day and we look forward to hopefully seeing you at the Christmas Fayre later!

General reminders:

  • St Wystans for singing on Monday - starts at 1:30 and any walkers will need to be in school for around 12:45-12:55.
  • KS2 party on Wednesday - food slips handed out and food needs to be in on Wednesday, party clothes to be brought in a separate bag.
  • Topic Homework in on Monday and the showcase is on Thursday, 3:00pm - 3:15pm.
  • No spellings have been handed out for next week, enjoy a rest!

Have a lovely weekend!
