This week has been very busy with making a start on our full curriculum lessons. In maths, we have been learning about place value and representing numbers in different ways. The homework is to complete some number line work similar to that we have done in class. Quite a few children found working out the intervals on partially marked lines quite tricky. We will continue with more place value work next week.
In English, we have started to learn about the features of historical narratives. We have also done work about using adverbs and adjectives to improve sentences. Thank you for reading with your children and learning spellings. This is the sort of thing that done regularly has such a big impact on your child’s skills and confidence.
We look forward to meeting you next Wednesday at our Meet the teacher meeting. We will go over many of the things we talked about at our meeting in the summer and be able to give you a few more details and answer questions. It should only last about half an hour.
