Well, it has been a hot and busy week in Eagles. We have begun our final PE unit of Rounders, we have started learning about Forces and also begun our new Maths unit of Position and Direction.
Within English this week we have looked in more detail at semi-colons and colons and their uses in possession as well as thinking about subordinate clauses. We have begun thinking about our own explanation text and started to plan it as well.
Maths involved us finishing our learning about Properties of Shape and beginning our new unit on Position and Direction. We have thought about how to read co-ordinates and what the axis are called.
Science has seen us begin our new topic of Forces, we are also going to be looking at a variety of different Inventors and Scientists within this unit.
Rounders this week involved the whole of the year. It was lovely to see all of the children coming together again to play some brilliant mini games and develop their skills with catching and fielding. Super work Year 5!
Thank you for your generous donations to the Tombola stall, we are sure the summer fayre is going to be a brilliant day!
I hope you have a lovely weekend!
Stay safe
