WE RESPECT, WE TAKE PRIDE, WE SUCCEED

17.12.21

Well, what a lovely Christmassy week this week has been.  It has involved ‘Make Do and Mend’ multiplication and Non-Chronological Reports.

Within Maths we have been multiplying 2 numbers by 2 numbers and 3 numbers by 2 numbers. The children have all worked really hard on this concept and impressed me greatly with their perseverance.

In English we have written and edited our Non-Chronological reports.  The children worked so hard on these pieces of writing that are the culmination of our World War Two topic.  It has shown how much the children have learnt throughout this term and how much they have enjoyed learning about this period of history.

This week saw us carry out our Christmas Craft activity too.  Thank you very much for the donations of material for this.  The children all designed and created their own Christmas tree decoration.  We definitely tested our sewing skills but we were all very impressed with the finished article and I’m sure you will be too! Hopefully they are up on your tree or possibly a lovely gift for a loved one.

Thank you for all of your support with our World War Two topic.  It has been wonderful to see the family memorabilia that the children have brought in and to see the children learning so much about what was an incredibly special generation of people who fought to stay strong through such a difficult time in History.

Thank you for your donations to our Christmas party.  The children had a brilliant afternoon and it was a lovely way to bring this week to a close.

Have a lovely weekend

Stay safe
