WE RESPECT, WE TAKE PRIDE, WE SUCCEED

17.6.22

What a wonderful time we had on or trip to the National Space Centre on Wednesday. All of the children were an absolute credit to the school and to you. Their behaviour and manners were impeccable and they listened attentively and asked great questions. They had such a lot of fun with lots of interactive displays and the two talks. They were completely wowed by the spectacle of the Planetarium and the excitement of bangs and pops in the Rocket Science demonstration! In school they have recalled lots of the facts we learned and have started writing a recount of their visit making their English skills come to life.

In other work during our special Wow Week for science, the children have investigated shadows and made a sundial for which they are writing construction instructions. They have also been investigating the power of the sun for solar water heating and were amazed at how the sun can heat water with the right conditions.

In maths this week we have been concluding our work on time and will start work on shape and angles during next week.

Finally, thank you so much for the donations for the Tombola stall for the School Fair. We look forward to seeing you all there!
