WE RESPECT, WE TAKE PRIDE, WE SUCCEED

19.3.21

We have had a lovely week this week, finished off by a great time today celebrating Red Nose Day. The children all looked fantastic in Super Hero costumes, Red Nose Day items or simply in red. If you have not made your donation yet, you can still do so via the Parent Pay link-https://app.parentpay.com/ParentPayShop/Foc/Default.aspx?shopid=2110

In English this week, we have been learning about writing informal letters. Thank you for helping your child learn their address as this is an important life skill. We will shortly be moving on to look at newspaper reports, so if you have a newspaper at home it would be great to start looking at the style of writing and common features to give them a little head start.

Please ensure your children are reading most days and learning spellings. We have been doing really well with Spelling Shed recently being on the leader board in second place quite often. It would be great to get to first place next week. We will shortly be moving on to look at newspaper reports, so if you have a newspaper at home it would be great to start looking at the style or writing and common features to give them a little head start.

In Maths, we have been learning about fractions of shapes and quantities. This can be quite a tricky concept to understand so any additional support at home would really help your child. Please also remember to keep learning times tables with instant recall. Most children are working on 8x at the moment unless they have been told to consolidate 4x. As with Spelling Shed, we have also been doing very well with Times Tables Rock Stars and a little extra push could get us to the top of the leader board.

We hope you all have a lovely weekend.
