WE RESPECT, WE TAKE PRIDE, WE SUCCEED

2.10.20

We have had a lovely week in Squirrels spending lots of our topic time finding out about modern zoos and their contribution to conservation and maintaining animal numbers in the wild. We have even been on virtual class trip to Chester Zoo to see the elephants and the meerkats!

In our English work, we have continued drawing information from pictures and finding out about characters feelings by reading between the lines. We then thought about what animals would like in their ideal enclosure and wrote estate agent style adverts for the perfect enclosure. The children came up with some super descriptive and persuasive language.

In Maths we are coming to the end of our work on place value and next week will start our new block of work on addition and subtraction. Please see the Maths section of our class page on the website for details of coverage over the next few weeks. Please continue to learn times tables and build up speed and accuracy of instant recall of answers with questions in random order.
