It was lovely to talk to some of you on Monday for parent consultations and a huge well done and thank you for your use of Teams. I look forward to speaking to the rest of you next Monday 24th.
We have had a busy week working in maths comparing and ordering fractions. This is a particularly tricky concept as different rules apply depending on whether the numerator or denominator are changing in the set. As we have taken a little extra time over this, we will not move on to addition and subtraction of fractions until next week.
In English, we have started to learn about adventure and mystery stories. We have been learning a short story with the character Ottoline and next week we will start to learn about the features.
In our topic work, we eventually got a sunny day and were able to record our shadows on the playground. We then learned about how the direction and shape of the shadows change during the day due to the position of the sun.
The highlight of our week has been our time Zorbing and using the Nerf guns. The children had a fantastic time trying something new with their friends.
Please remember to keep sending waterproof coats at the moment, so we can get outside at break and lunch times even if it is raining a little.
