We have had another busy week in Puffins this week.
In our Maths lessons we have begun looking at multiplication and division, we have been multiplying by 0, 1, 10 and 100, thinking about the different methods we could use and what patterns we notice.
In English we have planned and written our own diary entries. We have thought carefully about all of the different features we noticed a Diary entry included as well as making sure that we used the most imaginative vocabulary we possibly could. We also put our “Red Thinking Hats” on so that we could focus on our thoughts and feelings throughout our Diary Entries.
Within R.E. we have begun thinking about sacred places that are special to us and why they are so important.
Our Topic lesson this week has involved ordering important discoveries and developments in the Bronze Age. We have created lots of very good timelines! We have also started our new P.E. unit which is focused on social skills, agility and dynamic and static balances.
It was lovely to see you all at Parent’s Evening. Thank you.
Year 3 – Words with prefix ‘mis’: misbehave, mislead, misspell, mistake, misplace, misread, mistrust, misunderstanding, misuse, mislaid.
Year 4 – Adding ‘ly’ to adverbs: sadly, completely, wildly, bravely, gently, foolishly, proudly, horribly, nervously, happily.
Christmas Crafts: It is also getting to that time of year again where we begin to think about Christmas! Can we ask that your child brings in a clean jar (with the label removed if possible) for one of the Christmas craft activities we have planned. Thank you.
We have you all have a lovely weekend!
Mrs Scott-Barratt, Mrs Karamucki, Mrs Allsopp and Mrs Jennens.
