I can't believe it's been one week since we returned from the residential - it has gone by in the blink of an eye!
This week we have jumped straight back into our learning with perimeter, instructions and carnivals!
In Maths we have started our perimeter, area and volume work. We understand perimeter really well but finding it hard to add lots of numbers for rectilinear shapes, which is why this is our homework this week. We will continue with area and volume next week.
In English we are back with instructions and have planned, written, edited and published our instructions on how to care for baby sloth (like Lila does in The Explorer). There are some excellent instructions and we have mastered the use of modal verbs! Super work, Eagles.
In Topic we have learnt about Brazilian carnivals and then compared these to other festivals across the world. In PE they had a dodgeball lesson with Mr Osbourne and learnt about the Qu'ran in RE on Monday and they finished off their mixed media portraits with Mrs Ward on Thursday. On Tuesday we continued our flute work with Clair and Catherine and are building up to compose our own piece for our concert in the summer. We have also been discussing the difference between banter and bullying in PSHE and clothing in French!
I am looking forward to speaking with you all next week at Parents' Evening!
