WE RESPECT, WE TAKE PRIDE, WE SUCCEED

25.11.22

This week in English, we have started a block of poetry work. We are specifically looking at alliteration poetry. We have started to learn a short poem with actions and sign. Over the next couple of weeks, we will learn about features such as rhythm, rhyme, personification and onomatopoeia.

In Maths, we are working on arrays, and multiples of 2,5 and 10. We have been learning that multiplication is commutative e.g. 3x5 =15 and 5x3=15. Please keep working on times tables at home.

We had a lovely time this week making clay pots. The children learned how to make the clay into coils and make the pots get wider and narrower.

This term we have been working with specialist singing teachers to learn a range of songs. We will be holding our concert next Thursday 1st December at 2.30. It would be lovely to see you there to see what  a fantastic job the children have done.

Next Friday (2nd December) we are having a dress down day. Rather than bringing money, the PTA would like the children to bring an item to add to our class raffle hamper. We are collecting self-care products such as, hand cream, bath salts, scented candles etc.
