The sun is finally here and what a lovely week we have had!
In our Maths learning we have moved on to position and direction. We seemed to have really enjoyed it and understood how coordinates work. We then had to apply this to a tricky translation lesson where we tried to translate coordinates without using the grids and just whether we are adding or subtracting depending on which way we are moving! We finished the week by finding lines of symmetry and reflecting shapes.
Our English lessons this week have been Explorer based as we finally finished our class book from January! It's a wonderful story and we seemed to really enjoy the text. We have completed some comprehension activities throughout the week as well as a book review.
Our DT has seen us develop initial and our final solar system designs ready for making when we return. We designed life of the future in Art and played some simple games of tennis in PE. We also continued our binary work in Computing and created ID cards in French with Mrs Ward. I think we all enjoyed our Golden Time this week!
One more term and then it's on to Year 6!
Have a lovely half term break,
Mrs Cotton and the Eagles
