WE RESPECT, WE TAKE PRIDE, WE SUCCEED

26.11.21

Well, we have had a jam-packed week in Eagles.  It has included cooking, beautiful WWII sketches and some super perimeter work.

Within Maths we have recapped perimeter on both rectangles and rectilinear shapes.  We have thought about how we can work out sides of a shape if some measurements are missing too.  Brilliant measuring and calculating Eagles.

In English we have begun focusing on a brand-new unit, Non-Chronological Reports, which has involved us looking at a report focusing on the Blitz.  We have identified the features of this genre of writing and analysed a number of different examples to help us dive deeper.

Our Topic lesson this week involved cooking a WWII recipe that came out of rationing.  The children really enjoyed this experience and created some brilliant Carrot buns.  They all said they tasted really nice and many have asked for the recipe. Thank you so much for your donations for this.

We hope you have a lovely weekend.

Stay safe
