WE RESPECT, WE TAKE PRIDE, WE SUCCEED

26.3.21

In Maths this week, we have been finding out about quarters, and thirds of shapes and quantities. This work has been a recap of work from year two that would have been set during last year’s lockdown. Those children with a better understanding have been able to complete problems using the same skills. After Easter, we will be covering the year three objectives with fractions. To help with this work, it is essential that children have a good grasp of multiplication and division facts

This week in English we completed our letter writing activity. We were so impressed with the progress that the children made during this section of work, the finished copies look fantastic on our writing wall.

Please remember to keep hearing your child read and discuss text preferably every day. It is so obvious to see the additional progress children make in both reading and writing when they do this. Please remember to send reading books, record books every day.

Today we have put a new Acceptable Use Agreement for computing equipment in your child’s book. Please read this with them and sign it. On our web site, in the About Us section, we have some new 360 degree photographs of our school. On a lap top you can have fun moving around the pictures with your cursor. In addition, on a tablet or phone you can click the compass symbol in the corner and look around by moving the device itself.

Finally, can you please check your child’s name is clearly marked inside all clothing. We have had several missing items this week and missing names mean it is hard to return items to the correct owner.

We hope you all have a lovely weekend.
