26th Oct

This week has been a very ‘arty’ week. Mrs Allsopp has loved it! The children have worked together in groups of 4 to create a piece of poppy artwork. These look very effective and all children concentrated extremely well with this. We have some very intricate designs! We have also created our own poppies out of egg boxes to add to this display! It looks great!

During our English work, we have continued our focus on WW1 and written biographies about a significant figure from WW1. The children have done a great job at researching information and put this into their own biography! They have edited their work to ensure they have included all of the toolkit.

In Maths, we have worked on using brackets in calculations and the children have learnt the acronym BODMAS. They were all very successful with this. We have also looked at using known facts to help us with different calculations.

Have a fantastic, well deserved half term. We look forward to seeing you in a week.
