We have had a very busy week completing some assessments alongside normal class work.
In our topic work this week, we have found out about the movement of the Earth and Moon around the Sun, explaining why we have day and night, seasons and moon phases. The children have been given a sheet to complete over the next month recording what the moon looks like each night. This should only take then two or three minutes each day. Next week we will learn about the constellations of the stars, so beginning to spot these with you at home would be fantastic as it is obviously not possible in school. The children have been warned that they must never look at the Sun.
In English next week, we will continue learning about writing instructions and in Maths we will be finding fractions of objects and numbers and learning about equivalent fractions.
We hope you all have a lovely long weekend.
Mrs Walters and Mrs Baxter.
