WE RESPECT, WE TAKE PRIDE, WE SUCCEED

3.2.23

This week the children have enjoyed starting new topics in English and maths.

In English, we have started learning about diary writing and we studied a dairy entry by Greta Thunberg, linking with our Geography topic. We have also been revising using apostrophes for contractions and how to organise paragraphs. Next week, we will be revising regular and irregular past tense verbs then going on to look in more detail at other features of a diary.

In maths, we have started work on measuring length using centimetres and millimetres. This is a great subject to support children with by asking them to measure things around the house.

In our topic work, we have been learning about weather and climate in Sweden and comparing it to England. We have also learned a little about the water cycle.
