WE RESPECT, WE TAKE PRIDE, WE SUCCEED

4.12.20

This week, the children have undertaken a number of assessments in Maths and English demonstrating progress since September.

In Maths lessons, we have been multiplying and dividing by 3 and 4. Next week we will move on to 8s as well. Please continue to work on times tables at home as these are so important to all work in class.

In English, we have looked at 2 more books by Anthony Browne and discussed common themes and differences. We have also discussed how important the illustrations are to the stories. Next week we will be planning our own stories in the style of Anthony Browne and will make these into little books.

A few reminders

The Christmas raffle has generated some amazing prizes (see PTA section of our website for prizes) so if you haven’t already purchased some then please do so ASAP.

The 11th December is our Christmas dinner day and also the Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day. A donation of £1 is requested for your child to wear a Christmas jumper instead of their usual school one. Please ensure your child wears their usual school trousers or skirt with this. All money raised will go straight to Save the Children.

The 15th of December is our party day in Squirrels. Could we please ask for £1 donation for party- food-Thank you.  Please let us know if your child has any allergies. Children may come in party clothes that day but please ensure they are warm and they have sensible shoes for playtimes.
