WE RESPECT, WE TAKE PRIDE, WE SUCCEED

6.11.20

It was lovely to have all of the children back this week and welcome a new child to the class. We hope you all had a great holiday.

In English work this week, we have started to plan and draft a story about an orang-utan’s dream. We have focussed on using descriptive language and fronted adverbials. Next week we will also look at similes and begin writing the story.

In Maths, we have been adding and subtracting up to 3-digit numbers using informal and formal methods. We have one more week left on this block of work before we move onto multiplication and division. Details will be available on the maths section of the website.

We had a little problem with Spelling Shed earlier in the week as lists had not saved as they should. Thank-you to those of you who let me know you couldn’t see the lists, this is now sorted out.

Next week children will need to come in PE kit on Monday as normal, but also Wednesday. Please make sure your child has something warm to wear such as a track suit or hoodie if it is cold.

On Friday we have another out of uniform day, this time to support Children in Need. Children can wear, something yellow, spotty or pyjamas. If you have spare change, please send this to help us cover a Pudsey Bear.

The weather is now getting cooler but it is very important that we keep the classroom well ventilated. Please check your child has a warm sweatshirt/ jumper etc and perhaps an additional vest or tee-shit under their uniform.

Have a lovely weekend and take good care.
