Can you believe there's only two more weeks at school until we break up for Christmas?
We are still really busy doing some fab learning across the curriculum! In Maths we have continued our work on multiplication and division and have multiplied and divided by 8 for the Year 3s and 7 for the Year 4s. Later in the week we have moved onto dividing by 10 and 100 and then using this knowledge to find other multiplication and division facts such as if we know 6 x 3 = 18 we know what 60 x 3 is and 30 x 6 and even 60 x 30! Today we have been comparing multiplication calculations using < > and =.
In English we have made the toolbox in our model text, innovated our text and then using our senses to describe a dark forest scene.
In Topic we are moving onto learning about the Iron Age and will be learning about the Celts and how they would live during the Iron Age.
We loved walking up to the Repton 400 to see the KS1 nativity and if you are seeing it next week then you are in for a treat!
Just a reminder that glass jars need to be in for next Monday at the very latest. We have some lovely Christmas crafts ideas but unfortunately, without a glass jar, they will be unable to make one. A jam jar would be the smallest size we recommend, you could go a little larger Please remove the labels and wash out well.
