In Maths this week, we have continued learning about fractions and we have been finding fractions of quantities. In doing this work, the children have started to recognise the importance of knowing times tables and related division facts. We are really proud of the progress that the majority of children are making with learning these. Please continue to support and encourage your child as much as possible to develop rapid recall. Next week, we will be looking at equivalent fractions.
In English, we have started to learn about writing instructions and we have learned an exemplar text. Next week, we will learn about key features of language and punctuation used.
In Science topic this week, we have been learning about how cameras produce an image and we have made a simple pin-hole camera. This is a great activity you could complete at home. We have also learned about how cameras have developed and changed over time, and looked at lots of different cameras from the last hundred years.
Can we please just remind you, that all children should now all be waring school uniform PE kit. This is a red T-shirt and black shorts or track-suit trousers/ sweat-shirts as plain as possible if it is cold.
