We have had a very busy week in maths, learning about fractions of amounts. This is quite a tricky concept with several stages to follow using multiplication and division. If you have a little time to consolidate this, it would really help your child. Next week we will be moving on to equivalent fractions.
To find ¾ of 20
First find ¼ 20 divided by 4 = 5
Then multiply the answer by the numerator 5x3=15
In English, we have continued with instruction writing. Next week the children will be writing their own instructions.
Today I have sent home a Times Tables booklet. This is for you to use however you wish with your child to help support them. It does not have to be returned to school.
Thank you for sending your parent consultation slips in. Times will be sent out on Monday. The appointments will take place on Teams so please ensure you are aware of your child’s email and password. These are the same as we used during lock-down home learning.
