We have had a very busy week this week in spite of so many of us battling various illnesses.
In maths, we are coming to the end of our work on multiplication and division. The children have started to see how vital it is that they know times tables and division facts to help them to deal with more complex questions. Please support your children in learning times tables. They should start with 2,5,10 then move on to 3,4 and 8. Once they are secure with these, begin learning the other tables in preparation for year 4.
In English, we have had lots of fun writing our alliteration poems. The children have come up with some super ideas using lots of adventurous vocabulary.
Next week we have Christmas Jumper day/ Christmas lunch and panto on Wednesday. On Thursday we are walking to the 500 Hall in Repton to watch our younger children. If you are available to walk with us leaving school around 1:30, that would be much appreciated. Please let us know.
Homework this week, is to learn the words to the Christmas song we sent home earlier in the week.
Finally, tonight is our school Christmas Fair starting at 5:30. It would be lovely to see you there to help raise money for our children.
