Here we are again,
This week we have done some brilliant learning. We have finished our unit on Place Value today and from some assessments of the Merlins, I can see we have learnt a lot over these past few weeks. We have looked at Roman Numerals and negative numbers, some tricky concepts but they have done really well! Next week we move onto addition and subtraction so any extra quick number practice, especially number bonds, would really help them in the future.
In English, we have just started our unit of Instructions and we have done some fab work on the features this week. We started off with a tricky cold write about brushing our teeth, then we found the toolkit in our model text (a brilliant and funny book about how to wash a woolly mammoth). Finally, we've acted it out and sequenced our text map! A busy, busy week.
In Topic we have been learning about what they would've eaten during the Stone Age and made some disgusting sounding menus on Wednesday with Mrs Harrison. We have also had another go at programming with Scratch in computing, learnt more about Judaism in RE, practiced our Harvest Song for Monday 14th and started our new Real P.E. scheme today where we have been learning about how to beat our personal best.
I don't know about the Merlins but after all of this work I know I'm definitely looking forward to the weekend!
