Year 1 and 2 Christmas Performance
Due to the current unprecedented circumstances, this year’s Christmas performance will look very different this year. We still feel it is an important time to celebrate the festive season and mark the occasion with a Key Stage 1 nativity.
It will be different to previous nativities as we will not be performing live to parents. Additionally, we will not be interacting with each other’s year groups, maintaining our school’s bubble system.
Therefore, the KS1 team have decided to record a virtual nativity. Each year group will be recording their own individual scenes and the teachers will then be collating them together to create one combined nativity film. The nativity will be uploaded onto Repton Primary School’s secure Youtube channel and a link will be sent to you via Parenthub for you and your families to view. We will be aiming to release this on or before Friday 18th December.
We will be sending out your child’s role in their reading record. Please note that we will not be sending scripts home to learn this year. We will be learning our songs and lines during the school day.
Although we will not be asking the children to dress up for the nativity this year, we will be creating headwear for your child’s role. However, if you do have a related head piece for your child’s role, please feel free to get in touch with your class teacher to arrange bringing it in as these will need to be quarantined before use.
Filming will commence the week of Monday 16th November.
We hope you enjoy the virtual show!
