Fruit Kebabs
We have been reading the story "Handa's Surprise" by Eileen Browne. We cut up and tasted some of the fruits from the story. We then provided a range of different fruits. The children chose which fruits they wanted to make their own fruit kebab. They peeled and chopped their fruits carefully and added them to their skewer. We talked about how fruits are healthy and are good for our bodies. We all sat down together to eat our fruit kebabs. They were delicious and they were all eaten up. Some of the words the children chose to describe their fruits were soft, juicy and sweet.
