Today we will focus on our phonics.
There are three activities. These are designed to be short and snappy. Please feel free to do all of them, or alternatively, you can choose to do just one or two.
1. Read the two syllable words. Focus on the two parts of the word. e.g. pocket - pock - et. It sometimes helps to clap the syllables as you read.
2. Please print, and cut out,some of the real and nonsense words. Mix up the words and read each one. Keep the real words and put the nonsense words in to the pretend bin.
3. Look at the picture. Write the sentence "I am glad I went on the trip." - This sentence incorporates some of the phase 4 blends we are practising.
