Today is our phonics day. As usual, the learning is split into 4 short activities.
Please feel free to do as many or as little as your are able.
1. Play phonics play "Speed Trial" - Phase 3. This is a warm up activity to recall the graphemes we have learned already.

2. Read the words. (See Resources Task 2) This is to practise reading words containing the phase 4 blends.
3. Write the words. (See Resources Task 3) Support your child to sound out the words. At this stage, some children might find it tricky to hear and write the "blend". e.g. bank might be written as "bak" as the "n" part of the "nk" blend might be tricky to hear when sounding out. Please support your child to hear these blends when writing the words. You can write them on paper, white board or chalk board.
4. Read the sentences. These sentences have been chosen to include some of the phase 4 blends we have been practising today. (See Resources Task 4)
